About Daisy
Growing up on the envelope of England and Wales beneath the wild of the Black Mountains was both incredibly inspiring as well as isolating.
Having nothing but nature on the doorstep definitely provided a space for a growing imagination where there was both magic to be experienced and a big world left to be explored.
My world seemed to open up two weeks every summer in Cornwall with my family, meeting all sorts of interesting, creative people. Reflecting on this time I can see how I started to associate the coast with a sunnier and more inspiring place to live.
But it was during long winters in Herefordshire and spending more time indoors that let me to discovering the world of film and visual storytelling which became my dream. With my longing to be near the sea pulling harder, I found a path to fulfil both desires through attaining a degree in Film at Falmouth University.
Soon enough the wider world called to me to explore it and after university I decided to call a van a home in New Zealand. It was here that my photographic style really became known and started to make a living working with value-aligned businesses in photography.
After working with brands for over 6 years, there was still a piece missing. It wasn’t until I shot a wedding, using my natural ability to capture the beauty hidden within sight that it all clicked.
Through photographing weddings I’ve found an expansive path that combined all of my biggest inspirations: Connection, authenticity, romance, travel, nature and storytelling.
I’m now spending most of my time living in Devon (just a stone’s throw from Totnes) while much of my family still live in Herefordshire I’m fortunate enough to visit the mountains, rolling hills and the wye often.
